About the Event

Mission

Support the development of low cost per sample, high throughput experimentation across domains by providing a venue for sharing of industry, academia, and government needs with those who design.  Develop strategies for “composable” hardware systems that significantly lower the barrier for developing a new experimental protocol.

Congress Goals

Identify and bring together key participants from academia, industry, and government to discuss experimental needs across these sectors, share information on the state of the art, and determine a path for how the group can collaborate, be governed, and produce meaningful results.

Congress Deliverables

The First Congress will be a working meeting with active participation leading to the following deliverables:

  • A document outlining the vision, mission, governance and next actions of the group
  • Presentations from leaders in academia, government and industry on the activities in the Open Lab space
  • Build a means to curate and discover stakeholders who work or have needs in the this space as well as their subject of interest with the goal of facilitating further collaboration.
